At Tortoise Capital Advisors, we bring more than a decade of experience in MLP energy investing. Our separately managed account solutions serve both institutional and individual investors seeking industry leadership and expertise, with approximately $7.3 billion in assets under management.

Midstream MLP strategy

The Tortoise Midstream MLP strategy includes customized portfolios of publicly traded securities of midstream master limited partnerships (MLPs) in the energy infrastructure sector. These companies transport, gather, process or store crude oil, refined petroleum products (including biodiesel and ethanol), natural gas or natural gas liquids. We serve investors seeking a high level of total return potential with an emphasis on current cash distributions and managed risk.

Select strategy

The Tortoise Select Energy Opportunity strategy targets investments with the potential to benefit from catalyst-driven opportunistic themes across the energy value chain and beyond. The strategy provides access to North American energy companies and their beneficiaries that Tortoise believes are, or will be, in a differentiated position to benefit from changing dynamics, catalysts and opportunities that may include: • Paradigm shifts • Changing market trends • Infrastructure constraints • Supply/demand imbalances • Price differentials • Restructuring • Valuation & structural disparities • Mergers and acquisitions.

Upstream strategy

The Tortoise North American Upstream strategy provides a dedicated focus on North American crude oil and natural gas production, which supports energy independence. The strategy invests primarily in equity securities of upstream North American energy companies that engage in the exploration and production of crude oil, condensate, natural gas and natural gas liquids that generally have a significant presence in North American oil and gas fields, including shale reservoirs.
