Since then, Kevin has followed his entrepreneurial drive by co-founding another start-up and numerous organizations at KU. Additionally, Kevin works as a teaching assistant for the Kansas Algebra Program, where he teaches a three-credit hour undergraduate math course. This past spring, Kevin was selected as a Barry M. Goldwater Scholar, among many other national accolades. Kevin plans to pursue a doctoral degree and aspires to coalesce his interests in engineering research, entrepreneurship, public policy and education as a university professor.
Christopher Earnshaw is a senior at Kansas State University studying entrepreneurship. He inherited his entrepreneurial spirit from his father at a young age, pursuing involvement in start-up, entrepreneurial efforts at every turn. He spent the past two years working for the Global Orphan Project in the sales department and developing GOEX, a young apparel start-up dedicated to employing men and women at a living wage in Port Au Prince, Haiti and closer to home in the Kansas City, Mo. area. He is a member of the Venture Accelerator group and National Strategic Selling Institute at Kansas State, and plans to graduate a semester early in December 2016. Chris is driven by a mission to serve others and aspires to work in the social business sector in a sales, product development or business development position.
Baily Smith will soon begin her freshman year at Kansas State University where she will study dietetics, and endeavor to earn a Registered Dietitian certification. Her love of running inspired her first entrepreneurial pursuit, Rainbow Run GC, a color run based in Garden City, Kan. Her objective: bring a big city event to a small town at a reasonable price. In her senior year of high school she joined the youth entrepreneurs program, further developed her entrepreneurial spirit and took third place at a regional business plan competition.
